Morning
I woke up to a phone call from my client, informing me that something I did that went to print was wrong. Fortunately, we resolved the issue quickly, and the responsibility was not mine!
Just last week, I had to replace one of my credit cards due to fraudulent activities, and this morning, I noticed more fraudulent charges on my debit card!
Plans have been canceled out of nowhere…
You can often feel the energy of the day by how it starts, and mine didn’t start well. But I chose not to fuss over it. The scene of Jesus walking on the water came to mind, Jesus simply commands: “Peace! Be still!” That’s what I choose to say to myself right now. The world may spiral, but not my heart.
Afternoon
Despite the chaotic morning, I have been able to maintain my inner peace. I went to Lake Padden for the Sisterhood Trail walk, which was definitely the peaceful moment of the day. Swimming in the lake afterward made me really happy.
Additionally, the underwriter cleared our loan, and we are going to be homeowners this week.
I went to my usual grocery store, which only accepts debit cards, and I had completely forgotten that I had called the bank this morning to request a new card due to fraudulent activity. As I was checking out and my card got declined, the lady behind me offered to pay my bill. I was in shock that she would do that, and when I offered to Venmo her, she refused.
WOW! I am just in awe!
Thank you, Lord, for being so good to me. You always provide, and your presence always brings peace. As I said to J today, finding you is the best and greatest thing in my life.
