Romance in the dark
Another busy day—I got up at 5 am to catch up on work, then traveled with my husband to buy a used truck in a city five hours away. We returned with a truckload of furniture, and now it’s 2 am.
On the way home, we drove in the dark for hours, keeping each other company over the phone. We took turns singing songs, making it a surprisingly romantic night.
Our cat is still upset with us and even pooped outside the litter box for the first time. I’m committed to being patient and loving, reassuring her as she adjusts.
It’s been a long and tiring day, but also incredibly productive. God led us through today in a way that felt deeply meaningful and powerful to us. I want to mark these moments in my heart and cherish those private encounters with Him.
Private encounters
1. The money that was supposed to be in our account this morning for the truck wasn’t ready, so we were scrambling to secure a quick loan. The process was complicated and frustrating. Just when we were getting really annoyed, my father-in-law unexpectedly sent us some money. This was incredibly unusual for him, and it felt like a small miracle.
2. Despite the delay in getting the money, the seller—who had multiple offers on his truck—ended up waiting for us until the afternoon. We drove five hours to meet him, and when we test-drove the truck, it turned out to be the perfect fit!
3. It turns out that the seller owns a fencing business, and he offered to give us free advice on the fence situation at our new house. As we talked, he mentioned he’s been struggling with the marketing side of his business, which happens to be my area of expertise. Now, he’s become a potential client.
Oh Lord, only You can orchestrate life in such a way, connecting people who need each other and guiding us every step of the way to grow closer to You.
