Turn into Gold
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Luke 12:34
My to-do list isn’t the treasure, nor are my worries. Even the thoughts I cling to so tightly are actually keeping me from my true treasure.
Growing up, I was captivated by the myth of King Midas, who could turn everything he touched into gold. I often dreamed of having that power. But today, I realized that I do have this gift—bestowed by God from the moment I was born. When I devote my heart fully to something, it turns into a treasure far greater than gold.
Reflecting on my life, I see that I pour my heart fully into my career, marriage, friendships, and most importantly, my love for God. All of these have given me sweet fruit that supports me with endless love and wisdom —the true treasure.
Thank You for reminding me of this.
My cat is taken care of
The first night we moved in, I thought I would have to go far beyond my comfort zone and work really hard to help my cat adjust to our new home. I even planned to gradually introduce her to the outdoors. All that planning in my head made me tired, but in reality, it turned out to be the easiest thing in the world.
Last week, after seeing a few other cats playing in our yard, I couldn’t stand how sad my cat seemed, so we let her out that day. I was worried sick that she wouldn’t return, but she did. Since then, I’ve been letting her go outside during the day, and she continues to come back every night.
I’m so grateful to have the best cat in the world—she’s the sweetest. Once again, my worries proved unnecessary because when I trust in God, He arranges everything for my best interest.
I love you Jesus, thank you for loving me.
