Nothing else truly matters

Today was another day spent with family. It’s funny, when I was in my twenties, all I wanted was to break away, explore the world, and be on my own. Now, all I want is to be close to the people I love.

After two and a half years of traveling across the country, I feel like the pull toward adventure has quieted. That season feels complete.

Now, I find joy in my deep walk with Jesus and a desire to live out His will. Nothing else truly matters without God. All the pleasures and excitement the world offers feel hollow without a higher purpose.

Tomorrow, we’re setting out on a road trip north to Canada. I pray for a safe journey, quality time with my father-in-law, and for this to be a meaningful trip for all of us.
