Today was such a joyful day! I celebrated Riley’s birthday in the morning, since friends were coming over for Friendsgiving in the afternoon. Seeing how much he liked the gift I picked out made me so happy. At first, part of me almost gave in to laziness, thinking that after being together for so many years, maybe I could just ask him what he wanted instead of choosing something myself. But I’m so glad I took the time to pick a gift that felt meaningful to me. It reminded me that it’s not about the gift itself but the thoughtfulness and care behind it.

It’s so easy to overlook the little things in life, but those are the moments that truly stay in our hearts. I want to cherish and create these small, meaningful gestures for as long as I live.

In the afternoon, our friends came over and showed us the authentic way to enjoy Korean BBQ. They were so thoughtful, they prepared all the food and even brought games to play. We started eating at 1:30 pm and stuffed ourselves with delicious food before spending the rest of the afternoon playing rounds of fun games together.

These small moments and shared experiences are what life is all about. Lord, please keep my heart close to You so that I never grow indifferent or lazy. Help me carry Your love for myself and for the people around me.
