a secure channel

I’ve been reflecting a lot on The Screwtape Letters since I started reading it. It’s such a fascinating book that I’m savoring it by taking my time and reading it slowly. It amazes me how close our spiritual enemy is to us, they know us better than we know ourselves. I’ve also been reflecting on the fact that when we pray and praise, those are the moments the enemy cannot hear us.

This realization connects so many dots in my mind. When our thoughts are unguarded, the devil creeps in, stirring emotions and planting deceptive ideas. Once that cycle begins, we’re lured into his battlefield and cut off from God. By fighting with the enemy’s tactics and playing by his rules, we set ourselves up for failure, he anticipates our every move. That’s why we keep losing this battle.

But the Bible teaches us that prayer and praise are our secret weapons. When our hearts turn to prayer and worship, we establish a direct line to God, a secure channel the enemy cannot intercept. Lord, thank You for bringing wisdom and guidance into my life, helping me navigate daily struggles. Your love surrounds me in every corner of my world, and my heart rejoices in Your presence.
