all come from You

I slept in very late today, catching up on the sleep I missed yesterday. Waking up refreshed felt wonderful. We finally received our Nexus passes and were excited to put them to use. So, we drove to Canada, and the journey was breathtaking. The visibility was amazing, we could see majestic, snow-capped peaks in the distance, green farmland stretching across the U.S., and the stunning Mt. Baker. I am so grateful that the Lord led us to settle in such a beautiful place. My Heavenly Father is truly the almighty Creator, providing for us with such care and intention.

In our excitement, we forgot that we needed to activate our Nexus passes online first. This caused a slight delay at the border offices, but we sorted it out. Afterward, we headed to IKEA, where we picked out new bedding as a Christmas gift to ourselves. Riley also surprised me with a set of new chopsticks as my Christmas gift, which was so thoughtful.

While we were driving in Canada, we got some unsettling news, my brother-in-law accidentally cut his fingers while using a wood planer. I’m praying for his swift recovery and that this doesn’t have a lasting impact on his life or his ability to care for their newborn baby.

The good and the bad all come from You, my Lord. I will embrace each day with my heart wide open to You.
