Tonight we watched the movie Red One, and something in it touched my heart with the light of Christ. In the story, Callum grows disheartened by humanity’s sinfulness and loses the ability to see the childlike innocence in each person. This disappointment eventually leads him to resign.
The way this was portrayed made me think about how God sees us. Though we are all sinners, in His eyes, we remain the children He lovingly created. To see others with that same compassion is such a Christ-like gift. It’s not easy, it takes a heart big enough to forgive and empathize deeply. But I want to strive for that kind of heart.
Lord, bless our family time together so that we can bring joy and encouragement to one another. Grant us meaningful experiences that will become cherished memories for years to come. Thank You for Your constant presence in my life, for mending my heart and being the unshakable foundation I can always rely on. I love You.
