He is the way

The four of us enjoyed Korean BBQ tonight. Greg was especially happy, reminiscing about his time teaching in Korea and living there for six years. Alan was joyful too, cherishing the opportunity to spend time with his beloved sons and experience something new.

After dinner, I introduced them to the VR experience. We took turns playing games, and watching them play was just as entertaining. Spending time with others often deepens my appreciation for the relationship I share with my husband. We’re so content and happy together, which feels rare among the people I know. At the same time, I wish I had more time and energy to pour more love into each of the people in my life.

As I reflected on this desire, I felt a twinge of guilt for not being able to do more, knowing that pushing myself too hard would lead to stress. But then, during our bedtime Bible reading, I heard the words, “preparing the way for His steps.” It felt like a gentle reminder from God. Amen to my Lord, I am finite and imperfect, yet it doesn’t matter because my Heavenly Father is always present for His beloved children. My role is to prepare the way, to trust in Him. He is the way, and He will ensure everything is attended to in His perfect manner and timing.

Hallelujah!
