My cat is slowly adjusting to our new space. Every time I look at her, I wonder if this is how God looks at us.
Everything in this new house is a big and nice upgrade, but for my cat, it’s overwhelming. She’s too afraid to let herself enjoy the new surroundings, even though there’s no real threat. When she panics, I hold her close and pet her until she calms down. I guide her to explore each room, and she seems fine. But after doing this multiple times, the moment I leave her alone, she starts to meow again, as if none of it ever happened.
This whole process gave me a new perspective on how God sees us. He knows that things are safe, and He has a better future planned for us. He arranges everything in meaningful timing and order so that we can learn and grow, just like I do for my cat.
If I, as a human, am willing to give so much attention and care to a cat just to make sure she’s safe and happy, how much more will the Almighty God do for us?
Oh Lord, your love and patience for me are beyond my comprehension. I’m so grateful to be your child and to share in your glory. I love you with all my heart!
