I’ve been meeting more friends lately, including a group of homosexual women. In China, where there are no laws protecting them and the culture remains largely unaccepting, they shared many of the challenges they face with me. I feel grateful for the opportunity to meet them and have meaningful conversations with a group I don’t usually interact with. It has given me a much deeper perspective on their experiences.
Yesterday, Zq and her girlfriend had a conflict, which created some tension for everyone. However, the positive side was that she chose to communicate openly about it. This gave me a chance to share some of my own experiences, and I hope it was helpful.
