No relationship can last without Christ

Dream

I woke up in the RV to a loud noise outside and peeked out to see three women holding guns and trying to look into the RV. I got super nervous and thought it was some kind of riot. I went to the back, grabbed my gun, and prepared to defend myself. But then they walked off.

I went outside to see what was going on. A cop told me they were trying to locate a terrorist who lived in the park, someone who was planning to bomb cities in New York.

I told the cops I knew people around here pretty well and was willing to help. We eventually located the terrorist’s trailer. As the cops were searching through it, I mentioned that I could introduce them to my friend Joel, who knows everyone in the area.

The cop found a safe and tried to open it. At that point, I woke up.

This week’s Bible study, “Worth More Than Rubies,” focuses on the role of women as Christians and wives.

“Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.” ‭Proverbs‬ ‭31‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

My husband introduced me to Christianity, and it was through our marriage that Christ truly transformed my heart.

No matter how sweet the love started, marriage always ends up requiring us to constantly adjust and be willing to love like Jesus for it to last. The path is very hard, we have only been married for 4 years but for 2 years we have been in counseling.

I am very uncomfortable with the process, but I love the results. Without Christ, no relationship in this world can truly last.

To me, the ultimate spiritual goal is to learn how to love like Jesus. I am so grateful that God designed women and men so differently, allowing us to shape and balance each other in unique ways that only we can.
