The wilderness The true heaven

Thank You, Lord, for giving me today’s bread through this video.

“Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” — Matthew 4:4

David’s wilderness years were filled with hardship, an anointed king reduced to nothing. Yet it was in that place of utter solitude and raw vulnerability that he drew closest to You, God. I understand and deeply resonate with that now.

Our most intimate moments with You don’t come when we’re full of achievements, those things only feed our pride and distract us. It was in my darkest days that I finally saw the truth: I have nothing in this world but one thing I can never lose, Your love and presence in my soul.

What a beautiful truth this is! And yet, how prideful we are, we often only see it when everything else is stripped away.

My God, this truth is everything I need and everything I want. Keep it burning bright in my heart all my days. I will praise You in joy, and I want to praise You even louder when I’m lost. I love You!
